I think the sickness care system really is fundamentally flawed in the way you suggest. It's kinda cynical but an IT prof back in undergrad used to say that if you really wanted to know how a system worked, you needed to follow the money. And the billing system in our health care system SUCKS. We've all heard it. There's no incentive for physicians and nurses to spend more time with each person (allowing them to really understand the nature of hir concern) and are poorly compensated for the least invasive, most preventive approach. They are highly compensated for invasive and/or quick fixes. I think this is highly frustrating for EVERYone involved. bye for now, Karen Hey Nima,
