“I started chiropractic care after having three episodes of paralysis; one with my arm, one with my face and then one with my other arm! These episodes were getting progressively worse over several years. They left me feeling scared and depressed, to lose sensation and mobility in my arms. (I am a musician).

Before I started care with Nima I had a very poor attitude towards chiropractic. I had tried chiropractic years ago and then went medical-physio, massages, etc. Nothing has worked as well as regular chiropractic care. My progress has been amazing to me! My energy level is much better. I am free of pain and have had full use of both my arms and legs!

The whole chiropractic experience has affected my life very positively. I feel I will be able to control the degeneration of my neck without suffering the pain I had become accustomed to. Nima has even helped my TMJ-something that had plagued me for years. The entire office staff is pleasant, helpful and discreet.”

“Walking through the mall one Saturday afternoon in pain and feeling miserable, I ran into Dr. Nima Rahmany. He was doing a computer analysis of people’s nerve system’s, so I decided to do it, and found out why I felt so bad. So I booked an appointment, my condition was not good. The reasons why: I had a serious car accident in my earlier years and have 3 crushed vertebrae in my neck. I fell on my right knee on ice when I was a youngster and damaged the lower part of my back. Also my Sciatic Nerve was damaged and it was affecting my right leg and foot. The foot was no longer flexible and I wore a foot drop brace so I wouldn’t trip. I would wake up in the middle of the night with leg cramps as well. My breathing was very poor and I was unable to find the breath to talk clearly, and had lost my voice. Migraines were a continual part of my life, causing me to be unable to sleep much at nights. I dreaded trying to go to sleep at night. Since seeing Dr. Nima, I now have feeling in my right foot and I can move it once again. I don’t need a brace anymore. My leg cramps are now a thing of the past. My breathing is full now-I can talk with a clear voice and take deep breaths once again, even after my very first adjustment! I can now sleep a full night without fear of a headache or worrying that I will wake up with a sore head in the morning. I highly recommend my chiropractor to anyone. I do not take pills or medication of any kind, thanks to my chiropractor.”

-Betty G.

Betty has been a chiropractic patient since she was 17 years old. Moving to Maple Ridge from Vancouver Island, she wasn’t able to resume her care because she had a preference for the gentle “light force” upper-cervical techniques of chiropractic. After I explained to her my techniques that fit with her philosophy, she started care in our office. Betty is a remarkable woman-being under care for longer than I have been alive, she has had a lot more experience with Chiropractic than I have. Thank you Betty, for teaching me about the limitless possibilities of health that the miraculous body can achieve from within, if we only remove the interference!

“I have arthritis in my neck, which was making my range of motion very limited. I had constant pain in my upper back, and extreme stiffness in the neck, first thing in the morning. Sometimes the pain would radiate down my shoulder to my elbow and into my fingertips, affecting my right side. I also had shortness of breath, pain in my upper chest, dizziness and fatigue. These problems were developing for quite a while. The symptoms have been with me for at least 4 years. After my very first adjustment, I was amazed.

My headaches were gone, and never returned. I never refilled my prescription for Prozac again. After less than a few weeks under care, I could walk, sit, bend lift and sleep again. I haven’t had the flu since I started care in the summer of 2002. I now have to remind myself to take the hormone pills because I don’t feel like I need them anymore when I wake up. Although my job is still physically demanding, I’m under wellness care to ensure the stresses don’t take over. I am always recommending chiropractic care to everyone I see that’s suffering.”

I did not think that I could cope with the pain anymore. It was affecting my life in that I was very frustrated and irritable, and I was becoming scared. I was able to handle the pain for the most part, but was more worried that I would lose mobility in my neck due to arthritis, over time. The shortness of breath was very worrisome, and the quality of life I was used to was almost non-existent. Because I was not getting any results from my medical doctor for this condition, a friend of mine mentioned Dr. Rahmany.

Until June of this year I had no chiropractic experience. My husband from time to time has gone to a chiropractor when his back would need an adjustment, and I knew people who went for this reason, but that was about all I knew and was not interested, really. I had tried acupuncture for four months. I would have relief for a few days and then the pain would come back. For some time I have been interested in natural healing processes and so I said why not chiropractic care? Since beginning chiropractic care, my morning stiffness is much better, my range of motion in my neck is not so restricted, and the most amazing thing is that I do not have that aching and inflammation in my upper back and neck. I rarely have the pain in my shoulder, elbow, fingers, right side. I have noticed improvement in my shortness of breath. I still need some healing in that area, but hopefully over time that too will keep improving.

This has given me hope that I will not lose the mobility in my neck and possible help with my shortness of breath, so consequently I am more relaxed, not so frustrated and happier since I began chiropractic care. I fall asleep much easier and I stay asleep through the night, so I am not so fatigued and am able to maintain a fairly active, pain-free life. Once I have this SOB under control and have more flexibility, I will be a healthier person- a new person. I feel very good about my decision to persue chiropractic care. Dr. Nima is very positive in his attitude towards helping me. He has given me excellent care and education, and I have a whole new insight into my back. The office environment seems to be one of caring. The staff is friendly and helpful. I feel very comfortable there.Chiropractic care makes a lot more sense than treating and covering up symptoms of pain. I am thankful that I am now under the care of Dr. Nima Rahmany.”

“I came in because of chronic muscle spasm and pain in my right neck, shoulder, and back areas for approximately 8 years. At it’s worst, I experienced headaches and stabbing pain in my right shoulder blade. My neck was stiff and in constant discomfort from spasm. In the past, I’ve only participated in sporadic treatment for symptom relief. I have improvements in all my ranges of motion. I feel so good all the time. I am sleeping better, feeling stronger physically, and my pain is gone. My muscle spasms contine to diminish and they are getting better all the time with continued progress.

An unexpected benefit is TOTAL IMPROVEMENT in my digestion, something I’ve always had trouble with and just accepted as a fact of life. I am so much more comfortable and have a greater sense of well being since I started chiropractic care! I love coming to this office– everyone is so positive, welcoming and so professional! Dr. Nima is the perfect ambassador for this profession and his positivity and passion are infectious. I love bringing my baby Grayson in to see Dr. Nima, and Grayson just loves Dr. Nima too. His adjustments help him to relax and helped him to sleep straight through the night! Thanks so much Nima and everyone at Westgate.”

Because of my job as an Commercial Transport Mechanic, I bend, lift and twist a lot and it’s stressful on my spine. I was having numbness and a stinging pain in my right hip-walking was even difficult. This was going on for a long time. My sinuses were also plugged up, I was getting sinus headaches frequently. My wife was a patient of Nima’s at the time, so she referred me in to see him. Right after my first adjustment, my sinuses cleared up and the headaches were gone. After a few weeks, the hip was feeling great, even though I was still going to work every day and aggravating it. I have been to other chiropractors before, and prefer Nima’s non-invasive style of adjusting-I feel great. Something interesting that I also noted is that I have psoriasis (skin condition) that would always act up, and I’d always have to put creams and lotions on it to keep it under control, but it was always there. The funny thing is, that I’ve noted that while I’m under regular chiropractic care, the psoriasis disappears.

- Jamie R.

Admittingly, nobody ever comes to see me with skin conditions as a primary complaint. This little side benefit that Jamie has experienced was a surprise to me as well-he never told me about it until the problem resolved. I often get that with my patients. Not fully understanding that the Nerve System is so vital that it controls EVERYTHING about them, they only talk about their back pain to me, and neglect to tell me of other things about their health, that is-until the problem resolves. Then, puzzled, they come in for on of their adjustments saying they can sleep again, their heartburn is gone, or they can now go to the bathroom like never before. No matter what the condition, you benefit from a healthy functioning Nerve System. Health comes from within.

I was suffering from serious neck pain as well as mid to lower back pain. Head motion was limited and painful. I used to wake up several times throughout each night, and every morning I woke up tired. Work related stress was always a major factor with me. After my consultation and examination with Dr. Rahmany, I realized that prescription pill popping was not the answer. I was suffering for years. After roughly around 5 weeks of care, all my pain is gone. I sleep well throughout the nights. I can also drive my vehicle for any amount of time without experiencing back pain. As an unexpected side benefit, I find myself being better able to cope with the daily stresses that I’m unable to control. I’m not as irritable and I feel much more relaxed. On each and every visit, I’m always well received by all the staff-there is always a smile to greet you. One more thing-thank you, Dr. Rahmany!

Thank you to all the kind people at Westgate Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, especially Dr. Nima Rahmany, who helped me with a very serious back injury. Six years ago, I was in a horrifying car accident, where I had broken a vertebrae in my back. I went for a long time with only drugs and prosthetics to help me through. One, maybe two days a week, I was able to have a pseudo normal life. Now, I am fully capable of doing things I wouldn’t have able to do a few months ago. I whole heartedly recommend chiropractic care to all of you.

-John B.

When John first walked in, he could hardly move. He was bent to the side, and in agony. I could barely perform an examination. When I saw his x-rays, I was in shock as to how this man could get through life. After 3 adjustments, he was walking straight again. A couple months later, after his corrective care was complete, John “graduated” to Wellness care. Him and his crushed vertebrae make sure to get regular care to prevent any relapses, and he is lucky to be alive from his car accident, let alone to be enjoying life as he is now…. John, you truly are a miracle case!
-Nima

I was having on average, about 3 headaches PER DAY, every day for years, that were interfering with my life. I had no mobility in my neck-I couldn’t turn it side to side very far at all. When I was considering giving chiropractic a try, I was told by everyone around me to stay away from chiropractors. I persisted, because I knew I had to try something. My headaches started reducing immediately after my first few adjustments. Now, after 3 months of care, I can say that I get no more headaches. My quality of life is improved, my flexibility and mobility has also improved. I strongly recommend the professional care I receive at the office.

My son Aaron was 11 years old when we came to Dr. Rahmany on September 11th, 2001. Aaron was suffering from Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and we did not know where to turn. Since he was 2 years old we knew something was not right, but we did not realize it until he was not functioning well in school. Teachers contacted us about Aaron that he was complaining a lot about headaches, sometimes they were for 2-3 days in a row. I sought help by going through counseling where their type of therapy consists of watching videos. Many prayers went out for him. We even went and saw a Psychiatric specialist who deals with ADHD and he recommended that we put him on Ritalin. I thought we found a solution. By putting him on Ritalin drugs we thought at first that it was helping him. He calmed down and the teachers were impressed with his concentration in class. After a few months he started again with more headaches, he couldn’t concentrate, he lost his appetite, became angry, frustrated, and even more hyperactive. We didn’t know what to do until one day my sister mentioned Chiropractic. I thought about it and, like many others because of what a few ignorant people were saying about chiropractors, I said no. One day I was reading the local paper in our town and I cam across an article put out by Dr. Nima and his own personal testimony on how he got help through chiropractic care and then decided to become a chiropractor. I cut the article out and decided to call. We made an appointment for September 11th, 2001. Aaron had a headache that day, right during the consultation. Dr. Rahmany took special interest in Aaron’s case after I explained what was happening with him, and we started him on chiropractic care that day. Prior to Aaron’s first adjustment, he still had that headache, but it was gone later in the day. He was on an adjustment schedule of 3 times a week for 4 weeks. After a couple of weeks, he started to feel much better. He was calm, slept well at night, no more headaches and his concentration in school improved dramatically. The teachers were very impressed. I was glad to go and flush all the drugs down the toilet. Thanks to his chiropractic care, Aaron is now functioning at the best of his abilities. I have no more complaints from the teachers. Since then, I have seen a miracle in my son. I started the entire family on care-myself, my husband, and my 3 other children. When my nine year old daughter (Jabez) had her first adjustment, she laughed all night until she went to bed. It was a glorious feeling for her she said “mommy everything seems so crisp and clear and I can’t stop laughing I feel so good”. My other daughter four years old (Ruth) was also giggling. My son (Adonai) who was 2 years old was not potty trained, but soon after he started chiropractic care, the teachers said that he was doing well with letting them help him go to the bathroom and before long he was able to be without diapers-at – he was even going to the bathroom on his own in the middle of the night! The teachers began telling me that even the toys that he was playing with were too boring and they needed to move him up to another level. He was so calm and well balanced. If the children had a cold or an infection I was encouraged to still bring them in for their adjustment with Dr. Rahmany and not give them anti-biotics.

This is way better than any medication I could ever take. My hips are in line. The most important thing that happened to me was when I couldn’t have a bowel movement for 7 days. I was in for one of my adjustments and told Dr. Nima, and he adjusted me. After that, I went 4 days in a row. Overall, my energy and enthusiasm for doing things has improved. I used to be tired all the time, and now I can go on, taking care of my entire family, and not feel tired. I praise God for all that has happened to me and my family, it’s like being saved from sickness and disease. Dr. Rahmany had one time stated in his “half-hour to health” workshop that we all need to be in a state of optimal physical, mental, and social well being, not merely the absence of disease. We need to be functioning at 100% all the time, and this is what my family and I have experienced, regardless of our symptoms, and it’s not to be compared to any medications or drugs that is prescribed by the doctor. Dr. Rahmany puts his heart into his work and he cares very much about his patients well being. He changed my overall look on chiropractic care and health in general. Dr. Rahmany was there when we needed him to listen to us talk about our health concerns and was there to help, even if it meant going out of his way and the thing is that he always followed up on things and wanted to know how we were doing. I have my full trust in Dr. Nima and there is no one who could ever take his place. He is the best!
The Jones Family

Aaron was among my first few patients coming out of school in Toronto. At the time I was living in Toronto, and when I saw his face in the consult room, I knew I was working with a kid who’d been through it all. He looked at me like “oh jeez, another doctor I have to see.” What an amazing experience to see week after week him coming in with a brighter face, and finally a smile that was beaming. This family was my first miracle in practice, that taught me the wonders of how the body heals from within. They also taught me of the wonders that the body can do when you remove the interference through chiropractic care. They were my first “teachers” in practice, and I’ve been lucky enough to have many, many more teachers.

I have grown up in a family who believed in Chiropractic care. In my teens, I was told that I had a slight curvature of the spine that should be monitored and if I had pain, to tell my mom to book an appointment. I didn’t go to the chiropractor again until I was in my early 20′s, complaining about a sharp pain in the middle of my back. Two appointments later, I was told that there was nothing wrong with my back– and the source of pain was unknown. A couple of years later, I injured my neck in a car accident. I was recommended to go for therapy– they put my neck in traction, which made me feel dizzy and anxious. I was asked if I was pregnant. Needless to say, I only did the mandatory treatments. The pain settled down and I accepted it. After two knee dislocations, two kids, another car accident, lifting too many wheelbarrows of manure, and a couple of falls down the stairs, I was living with chronic lower back, shoulder/neck and mid back pain. Chronic pain became acute pain in the last 4 years. Sharp pain in my lower back when I turned in my sleep, woke me up several times a night. Vacuuming, shopping and gardening became a nightmare. Lack of sleep, continuous pain and morning stiffness, was making me irritable, sluggish and unmotivated to exercise or even start my chores. I tried 3 Chiropractors, kinesiology, a GP, and self medication for pain relief. The exercise I was given helps me reduce the pain but the aches and range of movement did not improve. One Chiropractor did review my neck x-rays from the hospital after my accident and examined my spine from the waist up. I was told 3 years ago that I had between Phase I and Phase II degeneration in my upper spine area. However, my lower back was not discussed and after having 3 adjustments, that caused my lower back pain to become so bad, that I could not walk 2 blocks home without resting 4 times and having excruciating pain whenever I put pressure on my right leg for 2 days after each treatment– I stopped going. About 2 years later, getting tired of the pain I tried Chiropractic care again. There was some temporary relief in my neck/shoulder area. With what I thought was little or no progress, my visits became sporadic and few. Getting concerned again with my health, inactivity and increased pain, I stopped in at a kiosk at Haney Place Mall, and allowed computer images of my spine to be taken by Dr. Nima Rahmany. That led to a physical exam, an x-ray, and a solid explanation of my condition and proposed plan of care. I was still skeptical, but willing to give it a go. My personal goal was to become more active and pain free. Within six weeks, I was doing stairs, walking 2 miles pain free, swimming twice a week and sleeping soundly. My MBA (Masters of Bad Attitude) towards Doctors of Chiropractic has changed 180 degrees. I no longer take Tylenol to get through the day and have more energy, along with a better outlook on life. I feel aches/pains as I become more active but after a good nights sleep, I wake up rested and relaxed. The education and accurate diagnosis, changes in Dr. Nima’s adjustment techniques, open dialogue regarding my care, and increased levels of support from the staff of Westgate Chiropractic and Massage Therapy has changed what I believe about Wellness. It is truly possible to live without fear of moving, decrease the use of drugs, and improve your health. Next goal- to lose 50 pounds wisely. Putting that in print seems to make it more real. I appreciate the positive feedback I receive when i visit your office.
Linda L.

Now that Linda has been under Wellness care for almost a year, she is proud to boast that she has lost a bunch of weight, no longer takes Tylenol, and has stopped taking her anti-depressants! She also is able to control her diabetes… without the medications!!! She now lives medication free. Thank you, Linda, for your faith to give chiropractic another try.

On July 24, 2004 I totaled my car, injuring my back and neck. My whole body felt like it was out of place. It was difficult to move freely and I was also not sleeping well. I came to Dr. Rahmany with a great deal of trepidation, as I did not have a great attitude towards chiropractic. This was due to one bad experience I had previously with chiropractic where my neck was wrenched, and hurt worse afterwards. Since beginning chiropractic care with Dr. Nima, I have made great progress! I now have full mobility of my neck and back. I feel great and look forward to every appointment! When I travel, Dr. Nima is one of my first appointments scheduled when I return. As well, my sleeping patterns have improved and I rarely have a sleepless night now. I have worked in customer service for many years and both Dr. Nima and his office staff are exceptional. You are the best and I thank you.

Since my mid-twenties I had been experiencing lower and mid-back problems. There were days when I didn’t want to get out of bed, but I had to because it wasn’t comfortable to stay in bed, either. To put it lightly, I was miserable. Previously, I would only visit a chiropractor as a last resort, when I could hardly move, and I would always have spasms within a few months, so I wasn’t very convinced of chiropractic’s effectiveness. Since starting chiropractic care with Nima I must say that I feel better than I have in years! I honestly believe that my back is better today than it was in my early twenties. I sleep better, have more mobility and I can see myself expanding my physical outdoor activities. I feel happier and more confident when I tackle a physical task. Before chiropractic care with Nima, I would always fear “putting my back out”. Now I hardly give it a second thought. The office is a comfortable, easy place to be because all the people who work there give the impression that they genuinely care for the people who hobble through the door and, with time, sprint out feeling fine. Thanks for putting me back together!
Michael R.

I’ve been a chiropractic patient for 25 years and more but always in a haphazzard, stopgap manner. Dealing with the immediate effects of accidents or work related trauma. Chronic lower back problems were treated for specific flare ups. Recreational walks and other activities were curtailed gradually. I didn’t realize exactly how restricted I’d become, making allowances for tenseness and compensating for the problem. Then along came Dr. Rahmany. He explained that the damage to my spine could not be undone but with a series of adjustments we could greatly improve my flexibility and enhance my life. After an intense treatment period and now into wellness care, we are both delighted at how much difference the adjustments have made. Muscles are more elastic and pliable, and my range of motion has increased. I feel great and my back is the best it’s been in years. The ultimate test was a half hour spent digging my car out of a snow bank on a recent trip. No sore muscles or any aches or pains. Whether its significant or not, I haven’t had a cold or any health problems all winter! I have always recommended chiropractic care and have even more reason to do so now. Thank you for enhancing my life to such a degree.

My Mom referred me to Dr. Rahmany, hoping he could help with the symptoms I was experiencing. My symptoms are different than that of a car accident. I have symptoms of the early stages of demyelinating disease, which include tremors, pains in my legs and sometimes extreme fatigue. These symptoms come and go, and are mild at times or quite bad. The doctors and specialists weren’t sure what was going on– they were concerned about Multiple Sclerosis. I had been experiencing these symptoms for about a year before I started chiropractic care. I saw a chiropractor a long time ago for tension headaches because I used to work a lot of hours and was quite tense most of the time. I was using chiropractic for more of a “band aid” patch up kind of care. So I was very skeptical about trying chiropractic for my overall state of health. I truly did not think chiropractic care could help me at all. However, my overall quality of life has changed dramatically, since undergoing Dr. Rahmany’s care. For the first time in such a long time I wasn’t waking up in the middle of the night. I am much more relaxed and my symptoms are a lot more mild. I am so happy and very impressed at the positive results of my personal experience with chiropractic care!Dr. Rahmany is one of the most caring and positive Doctors I have met as of yet. It is very comforting and very encouraging to know that he provides the most excellent care to all his patients and would do anything, going out of his way to make sure we get the best treatment for the best quality of life. As for the office staff, I can’t say enough about them. It’s nice to walk into a room full of bright, cheery smiles and receive a warm greeting, especially first thing in the morning or on a gloomy kind of day. They all have wonderful personalities and I enjoy my visits to the office.

For the past 15 years of my life, I ALWAYS had pain in my lower back. It was a constant for me-24 hours a day. Getting out of bed in the morning was tedious, and I couldn’t do a long drive. I have never been a guy who was into going to doctors. I always would wait until I was basically crippled before I would take muscle relaxers for the pain. Also, for something I thought was unrelated, I was suffering for years with heartburn. I couldn’t go even a day without taking my Losec (Prilosec) for my upset stomach and burning in my digestive tract. I hesitatingly decided to give chiropractic a try. I was skeptical, but after the 3rd week of my care, I had ZERO PAIN after suffering for 15 years. I felt like rubber man. At one time, I couldn’t put my socks on in the morning, and then all of a sudden, I was mobile again. Nima even recommended that I make some changes in my diet and stop taking the medications when I felt I didn’t need them. I now can go on without my heartburn medications, which I could never do before. I am now a believer.
Paul P.

Paul, a self-proclaimed skeptic was a referral from his wife. It’s funny, when I met him he called me a “witch-doctor”. These types of patients who come into my office are the most fun to have, because they have a great sense of humor and always become the biggest proponents for chiropractic. Paul has now completed his initial course of care and participates in wellness-oriented chiropractic care with his wife, Cheryl and son, Tyler.

I started chiropractic care with Dr. Rahmany because I had a car accident which left me with tension headaches. I experienced these headaches for three months straight, 24 hours a day. When I was at my worse I took robaxisal or Tylenol 3′s and then took a nap. It was such a piercing pain in my head that all I could do was sleep. It was like someone punched me in my eyes but from the inside. I never had any experience with chiropractic care. I was scared and thought that they would paralyze me. I was very nervous! Nima explained everything to me so I understood and from the first adjustment my piercing headache went away. It was like a miracle! I think I have made great progress from every day piercing headaches which nothing would make go away, to instant relief with the first adjustment. And it just keeps getting better! I no longer have to sleep the day away with pain or take pills to help me feel better. I feel like I have my life back and I can go out and do things without the 24 hour headache that left me in the dark. The ladies at the front desk are great and Nima is a dream-come-true to a person in pain.

I had terrible headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, and low back pain that radiated into the hip and leg which didn’t allow me to sleep at nights. I got tired of going to Doctors that first wanted to give me sleeping pills and painkillers that certainly wasn’t going to fix the problem first, but just mask it. I had been experiencing these problems for over 5 years. I couldn’t sleep at night, after work I first wanted to go home and put heat and cold on my back. I felt tired all the time. My energy was low, and I didn’t have much of a social life without pushing myself. I was beginning to think that this is what it was like getting older (wrong). After considering chiropractic, my relatives all warned me not to go, because they were afraid I would be paralyzed by the adjustments! (wrong again) I went to massage therapy and physio with no relief. The Doctor didn’t help because I kept being given drugs that I refused. I wanted to go somewhere that would fix the main problem, not just mask it with drugs that are no good for your system. Since starting chiropractic care 4 months ago, I can now sleep at night and have more energy due to the fact that the pain is almost gone from my hip and back and leg. I also have no more pain in my neck and shoulders and I am headache free! I feel great thanks to Dr. Rahmany. Now that I haven’t got the pain I’m able to exercise a lot more and of course that has made me feel better mentally and physically. I guess you could say I feel a lot healthier-not older-and this is just after 4 months of care! The office staff is so cheerful you feel great walking in the door and they make you feel so relaxed. Also Nima is so up-beat and is really concerned about your well being and without him I’d still be limping around in pain. Thanks Nima – You’re the best!
Rose E.

Rose is now enjoying the benefits of Chiropractic Wellness care to ensure that the corrections we made over the beginning 4 months of care will continue to allow for an ever-increasing upward spiral of health and vitality. Rose is a classic example of “Health by CHOICE, not by chance.”

I began chiropractic care because of chronic lower back and mid back pain as well as restricted range of motion in my neck that I had been dealing with for a few years. I would suffer with headaches, sleeplessness, body aches and pains as well as joint pain in my knees that would make my day to day life tough. This caused me to be unable to participate in my favorite sports which all no doubt contributed to some mild depression. I had seen physiotherapists and chiropractors on and off for years, but my level of care was sporadic with only temporary relief of symptoms. I never really corrected the cause, sadly. I then committed to an aggressive 8-week plan of chiropractic care with the net result being a truly remarkable recovery. I don’t get headaches anymore, I feel more energy, I get a solid sleep at night, and I have no more pain…. my quality of life has returned. Chiropractic care has helped me make it through a difficult time physically and mentally after my son was born, when there was lots of stress and no sleep. Then, my son Grayson had his first adjustment with Dr. Nima at 6 weeks and still gets checked on a periodic basis. I have truly benefitted and maintained my quality of life through wellness care… it all makes total sense now. I have been to many chiropractic offices over the years and Westgate is the finest! The entire staff are wonderful and Wellness Care is a familly affair now every week! Than you for everything! And thank you Nima, you have given me back more than you know.
Shawn B.

I was getting frequent headaches and I couldn’t move my neck and upper back to the right side. As a student I was experiencing this on and off for a while. I would usually take pills for the pain. Initially, I thought chiropractic was going to harm me, because of what other people were saying about it. I started chiropractic care and have had continuous improvement along the way.

I have an increased flexibility, movement, and no pain. I’m able to concentrate in school now, with no headaches, and no pain. All aspects of my life have been affected in a good way. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and there is a great atmosphere in the office.
Tara F.

In March 2003, while in the office for a massage, I stumbled upon Dr. Rahmany’s seminar on the benefits of chiropractic. I was one of those people who would not go near a chiropractor with a ten foot pole! This was based on one bad experience that I had had with a chiropractic adjustment, 20 years ago!

However, it was because of a 20-year old whiplash injury, that I was still suffering pain and stiffness in my neck, every day. It was because of this injury, that I had resulting TMJ (jaw) problems, which required surgery. When I became stressed, the pain in my neck, shoulder and jaw was unbearable. Every time I started an exercise program I had to stop, because my neck would go into spasm. When my children were in the toddler ages, I found it really difficult to pick them up.

I had to be careful with what I ate, that it wasn’t too hard to chew, because my jaw would get too sore. I had become resigned to the thought that this problem was just what I had to bear in my life. I would have lots of hot baths to relieve some of the pain and to help me sleep. But when I woke up the next morning, the problem was still there. I had been to physiotherapy and massage therapy, which helped relieve the discomfort temporarily. What I learned from Dr. Rahmany-Nima, as I now call him, is that my neck never healed properly. The vertebrae, not being aligned properly, will always pinch and irritate the nerves, and send the muscles into spasm. With chiropractic care, the vertebrae are repositioned, allowing the nerves and muscles to do their job. After attending the seminar, I started chiropractic care with Nima.

What I had learned at the seminar made so much sense to me, it seemed like the answer! But I was still freaked-out about the process. Nima was able to get me onto the adjustment table and do some very gentle adjustments, which did not hurt and did not surprise me. Every time I came for an adjustment, I felt more and more comfortable. Soon, I began to look forward to the adjustments because I felt so much better afterwards! My progress was gradual. First, I noticed my jaw didn’t ache anymore. Then, the stiffness in my neck went away. I could turn my head from side-to-side, without discomfort. Finally, the constant pain at the base of my neck disappeared. This process took approximately 4 months.

For the longest time, I couldn’t walk or sit for prolonged periods of time. I have a very stressful job-I work with children, so I’m constantly bending and lifting. This caused so many problems for me, that I couldn’t even sleep at night. It even got to the point I couldn’t lift any longer. I had mega headaches every single day. Also, after my hysterectomy, I started taking hormone pills, that I had to pop every single morning when I woke up, or else I was suffering more. I was constantly getting sick, always catching the flu. I was also taking Prozac for depression. I am always recommending chiropractic care to everyone I see that’s suffering.

Jodi is another classic example of how no matter what your specific disease, condition, previous surgery, age, or occupation-your entire level of health and life will increase with a healthy functioning Nerve System. In Chiropractic care, nothing is put into the body, nothing is taken away. Health comes from within. The power that made the body, heals the body.

I was experiencing headaches, a sore, painful neck, stiffness, pins and needles in my back, back pain, sleeping problems, menstrual cramps, depression, tension, irritability, dizziness, fatigue, loss of balance, cold hands and feet-all this for several years. Needless to say, I was not living at 100% health. I was miserable, tired, and achy all the time. It was difficult to enjoy life to it’s fullest. At it’s worst, I was in pain all the time, at work (I’m a psychiatric nurse), and even at rest. My injuries were the result of several car accidents and work related accidents compounding the damage and pain each time. I had no previous experience with chiropractic before Dr. Nima. I didn’t know if it could help, although I heard several friends of mine get great results. I tried physiotherapy with no lasting results, and was taking medications-pain meds, sleeping pills, and anti-depressants. The result was that I was getting serious stomach upset from the medications, constipation, light-headedness, dizziness, confusion, etc. I’m excited to say that I have shown fast and terrific progress with chiropractic care, after just a few short weeks. My mobility has improved unbelievably! I can bend, turn, climb stairs, lift, and stand more easily. My quality of life has improved 100% in just 8 weeks. The pain, spasms, numbness, tingling, stiffness and low mobility has improved making sleeping, walking, sitting and driving activities better, and more comfortable and enjoyable. I NO LONGER REQUIRE PAIN OR SLEEPING MEDICATION!! I feel more relaxed, stronger, rested, and alert. I am enjoying life again!! Westgate is a very great place to be. The office is friendly, caring, professional, relaxing, and comforting. Awesome staff!

I started chiropractic care after attending an information session by Dr. Rahmany, which made me realize the benefits of chiropractic. I had a chronic pain below my shoulder blades which I thought was a muscular problem. It would regularly flare up, causing extreme discomfort for prolonged periods. I had always thought that chiropractic couldn’t be good because it involved cracking your back, and I thought that that couldn’t be good. After all, you’re not supposed to crack your fingers! Since beginning chiropractic care I no longer experience discomfort. No matter where I am; at school, at my desk, at work, on the couch, I am always at ease. I have a much improved range of motion, which makes everything more easy in general. Everyone at the office has always made me feel welcome, and making or changing appointments on short notice was never a problem.

In March 2003 I met Dr. Rahmany through a very good friend. Dr. Rahmany came to speak to our sorority group and his talk on the holistic approach to healing was very captivating. I have been a sufferer of Fibromyalgia for the past 10 years. I have done research on treatment options and have tried medication to help me sleep. My Doctor had prescribed Novo-Doxipen to help the muscles relax so I could sleep. After a year, the pain only increased and I was up 2 to 3 times every night. I tried different relaxation techniques through exercises and I changed my diet. Nothing I did seemed to help. As time went on the pain in my left leg was so severe that I could not walk up the stairs, get any sleep (I was averaging three hours a night), or sit for more than 20 minutes wihtout getting up to walk around to stretch my muscles. I never knew when I was going to experience those shooting pains. I also had very sensitive areas on my body to the touch (elbows, hips, shins). I was having difficulty concentrating without the pain interrupting my work. I tried Ibuprofen to no avail. My next option was to try DHEA (Dehydroepiandosterone), a steroid hormone. I decided against the DHEA as I was convinced it would only treat the symptoms and not help my overall road to recovery. I also was experiencing tightness and limited motion in my neck, arms and back, due to a neck injury sustained from a car accident 11 years ago, and I felt very fatigued. I tried other chiropractic sessions, but a short time after the treatments, I was right back to where I started. I was suffering from severe headaches as well, at least 2 a week. I am a true believer in alternative methods of treatment. On my first visit with Dr. Rahmany I arrived with one of my headaches. I went home after one treatment and to this day have not had one headache. That was 3 and a half months ago. I can now freely turn my neck from side to side without any clicking or tearing sounds. I can raise my arms above and behind my shoulders and move my head with great ease and I feel very relaxed throughout my whole spinal column. My fatigue is no longer there and I have tons of energy to spare. The most amazing part of Dr. Rahmany’s treatments is that I NO LONGER SUFFER FROM SYMPTOMS OF FIBROMYALGIA. I am able to sleep 7 to 8 hours a night, waking up very relaxed and energized. About 98% of the pain in my left leg has disappeared and I am no longer sensitive to touch.
