Upcoming Stressbusters Workshop – Raising Self Esteem
When you look in the mirror how do you feel about yourself? Are there parts of you that you like? Are there parts that you despise?
Nathaniel Branden, Psychologist and godfather of the “Self-esteem movement” called Self-Esteem the “Immune System” of consciousness. In other words, a strong immune system doesn’t mean you will never get sick or suffer with an illness, but it does mean that you will bounce back quicker, suffer less, and become more resilient to illness. The same works with self esteem.
A high sense of self esteem does not mean that you will never be sad, anxious, or hurt. But it does mean that you can adapt better to the inevitable hurt, loss, and pain that can exist in day to day life.
In fact, your sense of self is tied directly into your stress and anxiety levels, and your belief that you are worthy of love is directly affects your social interactions and thereby stress levels.
At the root cause of all anxiety and depression is a lowered sense of self-worth.
This Stressbusters Class is all about understanding where self worth comes from. We will discuss what your values are and how you relate to yourself and others in your life.
We will discuss:
- How to handle Criticism and Rejection
- How to balance Pride and Shame
- How to truly Love all parts of yourself
